Program Director Alan Pringle is the heart and soul of Excite Soccer. Coach Alan created Excite Soccer after five years as a professional  player with Sheffield Wednesday. Alan re-located to the U.S.  permanently at the turn of the millennium and has been coaching full  time ever since. Coach Alan has implemented a wonderful age-specific curriculum which grants all players the opportunity to succeed and have  fun through the Excite Soccer Programs. Alan has also identified and  bought over professional Soccer coaches from the United Kingdom who  specialize in working with young children. Alan and his Excite Soccer  Staff pride themselves on improving and developing players and young  people through the Excite Soccer program

Kieran  has over fifteen years of soccer coaching experience in England and the  USA with kids aged 2.5 up to 18 years old.  Kieran began his youth soccer coaching career at the age of 18 in England and went on to  earn his Football Association Level 1 and 2 Coaching Licenses from the English  Football Association (F.A.) in 2005 and 2007 respectfully. 

Kieran relocated to the United States in 2009 to be a coach at Excite Soccer and Olney Boys and Girls (OBGC) travel soccer club. He also worked as the former Director of Youth Development for the U8-U10 Girls teams at OBGC Soccer Club. Since 2015 he took on the role as the Assistant Director Excite Soccer. Alongside coaching the Excite Programs he is now responsible for setting up and running year round programs in schools across Virginia and Maryland. 

Kieran currently holds a National Youth License and a USSF D license. Kieran dedicates his time to developing young players and helping them feel confident with his charming sense of humor and fun loving attitude. 

Hailing from Scotland, Scott Currie played college soccer in the United States at Alderson Broaddus University. 
 
 In 2008 at Alderson Broaddus, Currie was named to the WVIAC  All-Conference team and led his school to a conference championship.  After his collegiate career, Currie returned to Scotland and played for  Blantyre Victoria Juniors FC and Airdrie United FC. 
 
 Currie has 12 years of coaching experience in the Mid-Atlantic region.  He currently coaches DC Stoddert’s Boys U11 Blue and U12 Blue Metros and  has his USSF B Coaching License, National Youth License, Scottish FA C  License, and Scottish FA Coaching In The Game Certificate.

Gavin Dodd has been with Excite Soccer for over 10 years helping the company grow each year since 2009. He remains a popular coach with a number of schools where Excite Soccer runs its soccer programs.

Gavin currently coaches at OBGC working with the 2004 and 2007 boys, he has been involved at all ages within the club for the past 10 years. He now also coaches the 2007 ODP boys program. 

Gavin holds USSF C National Youth License, NCAA Advanced Regional Diploma, and is an English FA licensed coach.

Alex Burke made his mark on the soccer world as a player. Burke played over 350 professional games between 1994 and 2011. His career began with Kilmarnock where he won the Scottish Cup.

Burke then went on to win the Scottish First Division title with Dunfermline Athletic. He was capped 4 times for Scotland’s U-21 side.

He now resides in Northern Virginia and has been a part of Excite Soccer since 2014.

Steven Young has been with Excite Soccer 6 years helping the company grow each year. Young is from Wales and played collegiate soccer at  Buckinghamshire University. During his time at Buckinghamshire University Young began his coaching career helping run a local  team. 

Young currently coaches at OBGC working with the 2010 and 2007 girls, he has been involved at all ages within the club for the past few years. Steven currently holds a FA level 1 and 2 also a USSF E license coaching badges.
